Completion of OPC UA FX Specifications RC V1.00.03
A revision of the OPC UA FX specifications has recently been completed by the FLC Working Groups. The release candidate consists of revisions of the following UAFX Specification Parts:
- Part 10000-80 (UAFX Overview and Concepts) rectifies inappropriate normative language for an informative Part such as this.
- Part 10000-81 (UAFX Connecting Devices and Information Model) introduces diagnostic counters and error status indicators to the AutomationComponent and ConnectionManager, allowing users to troubleshoot communication issues more efficiently. A capabilities folder has been added to the ConnectionManager to indicate whether the implementation monitors local (on the same Controller that hosts the ConnectionManager) and external ConnectionEndpoints for errors. A LogObject has been added to the AutomationComponent and ConnectionManager to facilitate the collection of diagnostic information in a standardized manner.
- Part 10000-82 (UAFX Networking) introduces the modelling of Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) information in the UAFX Station by utilizing objects defined in OPC 10000-22.
- Part 10000-83 (UAFX Offline Engineering) introduces ConformanceUnits and Profiles for the diagnostic features that have been added to Part 81.
- Part 10000-84 (UAFX Profiles) introduces ConformanceUnits and Profiles for the diagnostic features that have been added to Part 81.
