ICONICS and Takebishi Announce OPC Server Partnership

ICONICS is a global automation software provider and six-time winner of the Microsoft Partner of the Year award, providing advanced Industry 4.0 web-enabled OPC UA and BACnet certified visualization, analytics, and mobile software solutions for any energy, manufacturing, industrial or building automation application. ICONICS has announced an agreement with Takebishi Corporation to integrate the Takebishi DeviceXPlorer OPC Server with its own OPC-based automation software solutions.

Takebishi DeviceXPlorer OPC Server is a leading OPC server software suite that provides connectivity with control devices in manufacturing, factory, and operations environments with equipment such as PLCs, machine tools, and robots. It provides communication functions with multiple devices via a variety of network technology and helps to bridge data to various applications. Takebishi DeviceXPlorer OPC Server supports OPC UA, DA, AE, and SuiteLink Interface, and can connect to over 200 device types.

“We are most excited about this partnership with ICONICS,” said Hiroshi Okagaki, Director at Takebishi Corp.,” so that Takebishi’s DeviceExplorer OPC Server can expand new connectivity for ICONICS products, and Takebishi can also increase its international recognition. Our vision is to win the global market for OPC products.”

With this integration, ICONICS’ global customer base benefits from the ability to connect GENESIS64 applications to a wide range of global brands of suppliers of PLCs, robots, and other industrial automation products. At SPS IPC Drives 2019, attendees will witness how the new GENESIS64 version 10.96 release, combined with the new DxpServer V6 series, provides a compelling joint value proposition for customers in the energy, manufacturing, industrial or building automation markets.

“ICONICS automation software is OPC-to-the-Core™,” said Russ Agrusa, President and CEO of ICONICS. “With that in mind, our solutions such as our flagship HMI/SCADA and building automation suite, GENESIS64, require an OPC Server that provides state-of-the-art functionality, provided by trusted source. ICONICS looks forward to our continued working relationship with Takebishi and what both companies can provide to our shared customers.”
