Connect 2020 online attendees will benefit from thought-provoking keynotes, informative solution-focused sessions, and a wrap-up panel discussion, all aimed at helping users and partners learn how to maximize operational productivity, enable remote monitoring, and transform the workforce to succeed in the new reality.
In recent years, ICONICS has emphasized the benefits to its customers of integrated state-of-the-art communications (such as via the OPC UA standard) and connectivity (such as through the IIoT).
In addition to its upcoming Connect 2020 virtual event, ICONICS is gearing up for its next in-person Worldwide Customer Summit, Transform 360, initially delayed from early 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic and now scheduled for May 4, 2021 at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut (USA). Attendees will experience a digital transformation journey highlighting the utilization of OPC UA and IIoT-based technology for a comprehensive automation software strategy. The multitude of industries inclusive of manufacturing, industrial, and building automation are all prime candidates to take advantage of the IIoT with the critical elements being connectivity and data/information integration across disparate devices and applications. End users and system integrators are inundated with the technical innovations available to them, and are desperately trying to connect islands of automation and take advantage of the terabytes of data available from the wide variety of vendors’ applications.
“Industry standards are the driving force necessary for all the ‘things’ in the IIoT to successfully be connected and be able to understand each other,” said Russ Agrusa, CEO of ICONICS. “ICONICS was one of the founding members of the OPC Foundation and specifically has been leading the industry with its integration of the OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA), which is a core standard for Industry 4.0 and IIoT. My close affiliation with the Foundation, as well as being on its Board of Directors, has helped me become a key evangelist promoting its specifications and technology to achieve multivendor information integration and interoperability for manufacturing, industrial, and building automation.”
ICONICS has recently created virtual machine offers on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace to help make it easier for customers to take advantage of its solutions’ wide communications standards adoption and extensive, secure cloud connectivity. These offers, currently available for the recently released version 10.96.1, as well as for the previous version 10.96, contain the complete installation of ICONICS’ GENESIS64™ HMI/SCADA and building automation, Hyper Historian™ rapid data historian, IoTWorX™ IoT software solution for any edge device, and AnalytiX® advanced data analysis suite.
Leveraging these virtual machine offers on Azure accelerates the onboarding of new projects, or lets users quickly test out new functionality without lengthy installation times or having to procure new hardware or equipment from IT.
“This new ICONICS Suite offer on the Azure Marketplace is a real game-changer,” said Zhi Wei Li, Director of Innovation and Incubation Solutions at ICONICS. “It is the fastest way to deploy a fully functional SCADA system complete with alarming, historical data collection, visualization, and IoT connectivity. Ten minutes or less and you can start building your SCADA system with no installation or setup headaches.”
End users and system integrators have been clamoring for ease-of-use and plug-and-play multivendor integration. The beauty of being able to have a fully functional system with no complicated installation or configuration issues is really the foundation of the ICONICS suite offer on the Azure marketplace. This allows end users and system integrators to quickly deploy game-changing products and technologies to increase the efficiency and operations of their facilities.
The ICONICS offers will be updated about every two months with the latest Microsoft updates or when ICONICS releases a new Critical Fixes Rollup, so that the images will always be up to date for the given version, all while leveraging the scalability and security of the Azure platform.
The Azure Marketplace is an online store for thousands of certified, open source, community applications and developer services that gives customers an easy way to test and deploy enterprise apps, create custom mobile experiences, and gain insights from their data. Creating an account on the Azure Marketplace is free for new users and includes a $200 credit, enabling customers to explore products such as the ICONICS Suite.
This is a unique opportunity that end users, suppliers, and OEMs should quickly take advantage of to be able to master the power of open standards such as OPC UA and establish connectivity and data/information integration from the legacy systems of yesteryear to the systems of tomorrow.
