The OPC Foundation conducts and attends numerous events throughout the year that showcase OPC technology and its member’s solutions. These include trade shows, conferences, technology training, interoperability events, and attendance at select member functions.
The event schedule for the months of September and October are particularly busy for the OPC Foundation. Events will be hosted in Taiwan, USA, Canada, and Germany. Plus we are putting on a series of cannot-miss webinars. Come meet us and get trained or get involved!
The OPC Foundation North America Seminar Tour dates have been announced. This seminar tour will focus on the rich feature set of OPC UA and the unique ways these features are put to use in real applications. Beeond’s OPC UA Developer training is offered in conjunction with three of the OPC Foundation Seminars. This hands-on developer training educates attendees on the technical aspects of the standard, so they have the knowledge to make good decisions in designing and delivering a Certified OPC UA product.
Industrie 4.0 with its mandatory requirement of OPC UA is focused on security and high efficiency in manufacturing. Therefore it is no wonder that the OPC Foundation has created an official office in South Korea and will be making waves at Hannover Messe later this month.
At OPC Day Europe, there were many interesting talks about OPC UA and its applicability into a variety of environments. Welcome to the June 2016 edition of the OPC Connect newsletter! This edition of the newsletter features many exciting announcements from our sponsors, the OPC community and the OPC Foundation itself. Many significant things have happened since the March edition of our newsletter from a marketing, technical and organizational perspective.
There were two main takeaways from this year’s Hannover Fair: one, the omnipresence of OPC UA on many of the booths; and two, the collaborations signed with many different organizations. It seemed like everywhere you looked at the Hannover Fair, there was and OPC logo. On the collaboration front, the OPC Foundation has been busy solidifying OPC UA as the networking standard for Industrie 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things.
It’s an exciting time of year for the OPC Foundation as many events across the globe are gearing up. From a seminar tour in North America to workshops across Europe, there are ample opportunities to meet with OPC Foundation members and experts. These span not only continents but industries as well including dedicated events for track-and-trace, packaging, enterprise/IT, and of course automation.
Join us at one of six events that will be held this autumn across North America. These seminars will focus on the rich feature set of OPC UA and the unique ways these features are put to use in real applications.
