This time we report about OPC Hub ASEAN/Singapore established in Oct 2019 with David Chia, CEO Beckhoff Singapore as the head of OPC Hub ASEAN/Singapore. Together with his team he supported and organized the OPC Day Singapore for multiple years including international speakers from multiple companies.
Since the start of the OPC Hub ASEAN/Singapore the OPC Hub has signed, in alignment with the OPC Foundation, an MoU with Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic to promote awareness of OPC UA to adult learners and to introduce OPC UA content in Industry 4.0 related courses. In addition several NP/SP lecturers have elected to upskill themselves:

In addition, an MoU with Singapore Industrial Automation Association has been established to promote awareness of OPC UA to the system integration and solution provider community.

In Singapore, OPC UA is recognized as a national standard since Oct-2019 and we have continued to promote this among educational and research institutions. Several courses with OPC UA content are already being planned and will be rolled out soon.
