The OPC Foundation announces the launch of its academic outreach program called OPC UAcademic. The OPC UAcademic program provides post-secondary institutes with official, up-to-date OPC UA course content, ready-made for easy inclusion in their curriculums at no cost under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 license. The OPC Foundation invites interested education-providers to contact the Foundation for additional information or to get started.
With the rising global adoption of the OPC UA standard in an ever-growing number of use-cases and the proliferation of OPC UA-based products in all industries, OPC UA knowledge is fast becoming a competency for future generations of IT and OT automation professionals. To help academic institutions meet this need, the OPC Foundation created, and is donating, OPC UA training content suitable for universities, colleges, and technical institutes to use in their curriculums.
